You will need a CAC to access it so it can only be usedВ by those that already have CAC access, to download the certificateВ files for use on a machine that needs the certificates. The site alsoВ has a more reliable link for downloading the individual certificates. ThereВ is aВ small newer program to download and/or run - InstallRoot V2.19A.

For SAs and advanced PC users, this site - Navy InfoSec Public Key Infrastructure - has nice instructions for all browser types.

For advanced PC users, you may also download individual certificates CA3 through CA18 from a link on that same page.

For more information about DoD Certificates, read the information in the DoD Certificates channel to the right. For a newer version of the InstallRoot program, which installs the newest certificates, see 'For SAs and advanced PC users only' below. Running these programs will install the certificates and saves the time of installing each certificate individually. These are zipped files so they will need to be savedВ to the PC then unzipped. The are 2 small programs to download and run - InstallRoot V2.18A and InstallRoot V2.18B.

Some of these CAC Enablers will ask for a Keychain Password.

This includes built-in Smart Card Readers for the newer OSвЂ™s. If you currently have an incorrect CAC enabler installed, you need to uninstall and remove it before getting the correct one. Multiple CAC Enablers can cause your CAC Card reader not to work.

Only download and install ONE CAC Enabler.
